Announcing the Wedding of Toast and Ferr'ouquea Clarice

Nancy Sevier and Susie Riddle are pleased to announce the union of their two PAWS certified therapy ferrets Toast and Ferr'ouquea Clarice. Toast is a teaching animal for P.E.P Education fro promoting the prevention of animal cruelty in Louisiana school districts and is an ambassador from Fuzzie Friends Organization in Shreveport, LA.

Ferr'ouquea Clarice is a certified PAWS therapy ferret from WeezleWings Ferret Sanctuary in Hallsville, Texas. She is a personal anxiety/panic service ferret.

The two lovebirds got married in a charitable event hosted by Westwood Nursing Home of Shreveport Louisiana on September 30, 2010 at 2 p.m.

Toast and Ferr' frequent area nursing homes and schools, bringing joy and comfort and some fur-lovin' that the residents of medical facilities don't normally get. This nursing home is their favorite place to visit because everyone looks forward to their monthly ferret "fix" and all are front and center in the activity rooms and halls when the fursnakes make their grand entrances.

Toast and Ferr' have become strangely bonded over the course of the six months before their wedding. they are really neat to watch.When they are caged together, they choose the same hammock; when they freeroam, they seek each other out, and they snooze in a collective ball. Anytime you see one, the other is right by their side. It is precious!

When Westwood Director of Activities, Janet Henderson, learned that the two had planned their engagement, she was delighted to insist the wedding be held where the residents could attend. Nancy and Susie wholeheartedly agreed with this!
